Good questions, quick answers.

Everything you need to know about a MyCheekySocial evening, from booking to friend matches.

About MyCheekySocial

What is MyCheekySocial?

MyCheekySocial hosts structured, in-person social evenings for men and women looking to make new friends. It's a modern take on speed friending: think speed dating, minus the dating. You'll have five to six minutes of conversation with each guest, in a relaxed, host-led setting.

Is MyCheekySocial a dating event?

No. MyCheekySocial is, and always will be, a friendship event. Our evenings are for making friends, and everyone in the room is there for the same reason.

Who's behind MyCheekySocial?

MyCheekySocial is part of the Constellation, a group of in-person brands for dating, friendship and networking, hosting evenings since 2007, all operated by The Cheeky Lab, LLC. About the Constellation →

Are you affiliated with any Meetup groups?

We think Meetup is a lovely platform, but MyCheekySocial operates independently. Our evenings are hosted only through our own website and official listings.

Booking

How do I reserve my place?

Choose your city on our Cities page and email us with a little about yourself. We'll send you the schedule of evenings coming up near you, and how to book.

Can I pay without doing it online?

All registrations are handled securely through our encrypted online checkout. For safety, we can't accept payment any other way. Questions? Email info@mycheekysocial.com.

How do refunds and reschedules work?

Come straight to us. If we cancel an evening, or reschedule it and you'd rather not attend the new date, email info@mycheekysocial.com and we'll give you a full refund, directly. There's no need to request a refund through Eventbrite. If your own plans change, five days' notice or five seconds, your ticket never expires and can be used for any future MyCheekySocial evening. Attending and not making a friend match isn't grounds for a refund. This is The MyCheekySocial Guarantee, updated April 2026. Read The MyCheekySocial Guarantee →

What happens if an evening is sold out?

Email info@mycheekysocial.com to join the wait list. Cancellations sometimes open up places, so it's worth checking back.

Can I come with friends?

Absolutely. Everyone needs their own ticket, and if you email us ahead of time, our hosts will happily seat you near each other.

On the night

What time should I arrive?

Start times are in your confirmation. We begin once everyone has arrived, so you'll have time to grab a drink, settle in and mingle before introductions start.

How many people will I meet?

Most evenings host between 16 and 20 guests: enough for variety, and small enough for real conversation.

How long will I chat with each person?

Usually five to six minutes. At larger evenings, rounds may be a little shorter so everyone gets a turn.

How long does an evening last?

About two hours, including an intermission. You're welcome to stay afterwards for as long as you like.

Is food included?

Some venues offer light bites or happy-hour specials, but it varies. We suggest eating beforehand or staying afterwards to share a drink with new friends.

Smart-Card and matches

What is a Smart-Card match?

Your Smart-Card is your digital connection card for the evening. During the evening, you privately mark who you'd like to see again, and you have until midnight to finalize your picks. When two people pick each other, it's a friend match, and we'll email you both a first name and contact email, usually within 24 hours.

Do I need to download an app?

No. Your Smart-Card works in the browser on your phone or laptop.

Can I come back for free if I don't get a match?

We reward lovely energy, not statistics. Guests who bring warmth and good spirit are often invited back as our guest, and may be invited into the MyCheekySocial Circle, our free, invite-only community.

What is the MyCheekySocial Circle?

A free, invite-only community of the guests everyone in the room was glad to meet. You can't apply: our hosts notice you. Members are first on the guest list, invited back as our guests, and invited to private gatherings and to evenings across the Constellation. About the Circle →

Guests and conduct

Do you screen the attendees?

We don't pre-screen every guest, but we listen carefully to feedback. If a guest is reported as unkind or disruptive, we may decline their future participation. Our goal is a room full of considerate, friendly people you'll actually enjoy meeting.

What if someone isn't lovely?

We have zero tolerance for unkindness or rudeness. Anyone who makes others uncomfortable may be asked to leave and won't be invited back. Our guests are what make the evening, and we protect that.

Do you have any charitable initiatives?

Yes. Through Nights for Suzanne, you can donate the price of a ticket to a cancer charity of your choice. Let us know once you've donated, and we'll add you to the guest list for the evening of your choice.
